SPRINTacular Circle of Achievement Nomination

This is the top annual performance award recognizing employees who exemplify Sprint initiatives and make significant contributions to Sprint’s success. It’s presented to high performers who are nominated by their peers and then goes through a two-step approval process. On behalf of two employees and Sprint i-Recognize program, I received two nominations and a certificate in May 2018.

“Rachael is a positive, inspiring contributor to Sprint; no matter who she works with, she does her job with passion, excitement, and diligence. She has a ready-to-learn attitude, and encourages others surrounding her to excel in what they do, too. It was an absolute joy to work with her, even if it was only for a short time! I hope I get the chance to work with her again because she is an absolute rock star.”
– Katrina Schultz

“Rachael is a person who motivates others because it is so evident that she truly believes in Sprint. Rachael’s positive spirit is infused in her quality deliverables, interactions with teammates, and even her Sprint social advocacy posts on LinkedIn. I admire Rachael because she never stops learning and pushing herself to develop new skills in a forever-changing business landscape. She set up meetings with me monthly in 2017 to enhance her understanding of social media. Rachael does not shy away from hard projects. She jumped at the opportunity to write the social tweets for our CMO, Roger Sole. She studies his feedback and tries to actively apply his view into her work. When bandwidth is tight she always prioritizes and respectfully provides deliverable timelines. She is happiest when figuring out unchartered waters, like writing for Cura the new Chat Bot. It is also worth noting that Rachael is an Officer for WISE ERG. She coordinates events, writes their newsletter, and publishes WISE i-Connect communications. I believe that it is the daily presence of people like Rachael who make Sprint a better place to work. It is not always what we do, but how we do it that deserves more recognition!”

Brand Excellence Team

I was a member of the Sprint Brand team that redefined the brand voice in all customer communications. Every customer touch-point (e-mail, SMS, letter, chat, etc.) was reviewed to remove tech jargon and internal acronyms, to ensure brand color and fonts were used, and to showcase the brand persona through friendly and simple messages. This initiative was recognized by the Office of Transformation.

Sprint’s Next Leaders Program Graduate

The Next Leaders Program (NLP) is a rigorous and influential program, requiring participants to complete monthly meetings with Sprint senior leaders and mentors, participate in small group sessions, complete personal leadership assessments and much more. I was accepted into the program July 2015 and graduated in May 2016.

Sprint’s Next Leaders Program 2016 Tactical Challenge Winner

During the 10-month leadership training program at Sprint, there is an optional two-month small group challenge to heighten leadership skills. I entered the group challenge and became the team leader for Sprint (Scoop) SENSE team. The tactical initiative was to increase referrals through aspects of customer experience (network, price/value, customer service). Each team created a short video to present their solution, and the videos were judged by a cross section of Sprint leaders. Our solution addressed the need for simplification in referrals and grow partner empowerment. Forecast data showed revenue growth doubling and adoption rate tripling. The application model included a phased evolution to address social channels, customer and employee incentives, and base growth. Sprint (Scoop) SENSE team’s solution was the winning idea. After winning the challenge, I was notified that the team solution would be presented to the executive OMNI Channel Work Stream. It was a privilege to present the solution to Sprint executives. Sprint (Scoop) SENSE was adopted into an already funded project to improve the customer experience. Through the team’s innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, we positively impacted Sprint’s base. It was an honor to win such a competition among the stellar group of peers.

Knowledge Management Content Lifecycle Management Patent Application

As part of business process improvements, I was on a team that created a system for prioritizing the review of documentation. Sprint submitted this process for a patent September 2014. I collaborated with Sprint Patent Legal by providing specifications, drawings and declarations. Sprint awarded a cash value to all inventors.
